I am guilty of this. Most of us are.
It's easy to get taken in by fake news and both sides are guilty of fake news.
I do have to wonder, though, how much fake news from the conservative side is false flag from the left. There is a lot of that going around these days and both sides ought to get pounded for it.

Being taken in my fake news usually should depend on "confirmation bias" overtaking common sense.
ReplyDeleteWhat differs is a overt campaign for leftists to use controlled media outlets to systematically introduce knowingly unverified information at best, and fabricated falsehoods (this is called propaganda folks) at the worst - then gyrating is expressions of wonderment further testifying to the lies they themselves created.
This is no "conformation bias" but overt campaigns of disinformation, right out of Rules for Radicals.
Does the right get stuff wrong and fall in confirmation bias, certainly.
But there isn't the smoking gun of making up BS and then self-responding to it (and testifying to it) that the left has perfected.
