The #Justwalkaway movement is beginning to divide the Democratic party which wasn't hard to predict. Eventually SOMEONE had to start something as the Democrats are getting more and more socialist and militant. They are starting to alienate their base.
Most Democrats are not hardened socialists. They do want government to provide more services than the Republicans do but they are not outright socialists. Many of these guys have been working class people with Old School solid working class values that voted Democrat to insure things like Social Security, Unemployment and disability insurance didn't disappear even though Republicans knew to leave it well enough alone.
Many Democrats actually shared moderate Republican values and very possibly didn't realize it.
Over the years here in Pittsburgh I have met any number of Democrats that have constantly stuck up against gun control, and believed in a day's work for a day's pay. For decades I have wondered why they have always voted Democrat.
Truth is I believe it is because they are either too afraid or too lazy to sit down and think about what is going on now. It's much easier to simply trundle down the worn path of least resistance.
