One of the things I have noticed about a lot of elected officials

is that many of them seem to think they are a part of some ruling class and can tell us what to do. 

Surprise! 

Any student of government learn right off that government is a contract between governed and governing that can be broken by either party at any time.

Often it is broken simply by people voting them out of office. Sometimes when the governing class refuses to accept the results of an election they get the boot by force.

I figure that every so often throwing someone out of office by force reminds the rest of our elected officials that they serve at the will of the people.

In Virginia they are long overdue for some elected officials to learn a few lessons regarding how much authority they have.
