Note I said STATE RUN liquor stores which is what we have in PA.
That kind of crap doesn't happen in private enterprise. People would be fired over something like that.
But I bet the clown responsible for that gets to keep his job because of some stupid state protection policy.
Therein lies the problem with government. No accountability.
When we moved out of PA to WA I thought I died and went to heaven. Beer, liquor and wine are available in grocery stores, 7-11's, and mom and pop local shops. Great selection and you can get some great deals at times. State run anything is a bloody joke and just another tax so the politicians have more $$$ to spend on stupid ideas.
ReplyDeleteWhile I am in agreement that having the state run... anything... is an instant guarantee of inefficiency, I disagree that credit card processing blackouts 'doesn't happen in private enterprise.' It does, and often enough to not be rare.
ReplyDeleteKeep in mind that running a credit card means going through At Least three servers. (yours, the processor's, and the card company's) an interruption at any one of them will take it all down.
