It took about 120 days and the weather ranged from hot to cold but they persevered.
They had a large following on social media and occasionally someone would wonder what the President thought of it.
The White House was strangely quiet and I believe that Trump did that out of respect for the monks. He most likely wanted to keep them out of the political fray.
Had he said anything remotely kind about their walk for peace I am reasonably sure the left would have lined the march route and turned it into a gauntlet of taunts, jeers and objects being thrown at them. Possibly worse.
