War crimes.

seems to be what the left is accusing Trump of now which is a joke.

Anything militarily useful is a legitimate target. Anything.

A power plant that so much as supplies a military organization so much as one single watt second to the military becomes a bona fide military target. If a bridge is crossed by anything military it becomes a legitimate target.

During WW2 Notre Dame was not flattened because the Germans did not use it for military purposes. For example they stored no ammunition in it.

The IDF hit a building a while back in (IIRC) Gaza. The wire services, AP and Al Jazeera  that had offices there moaned and groaned about it claiming that bombing a wire service was a crime. The IDF pointed out that Hamas had intelligence assets in the same building and so to speak told them to settle it with their landlord. The complaints died down fairly quickly when it was pointed out that it was a bona fide target. (Choose your landlords carefully)

What IS a war crime is 'Human Shielding' which is hiding behind non combatant's backs. Iran is threatening to put thousands of civilians on their bridges in what will probably be a futile attempt to protect them. If the US or the IDF destroy the bridges they bear no responsibility. The responsibility is Iran's and Iran's only for using human shields. The school that got hit and killed a large number of children was next door to a military asset of some sort.

Iran has made a large number of police/military installations close to schools, hospitals and dense residential areas.

Of course the left will screech about civilian deaths but their anger will be misdirected. War is an ugly game.

WW2 claimed about 80 million lives. Of these about 25 million were combatants. Civilian deaths were about 2.5 time the number of military deaths.

To be fair about it, the US military appears to be pretty good at making an honest effort to keep civilian casualties down. Precision munitions have contributed to this also. We don't have to flatten a large area to hit a specific target anymore. Still, things happen.

Pete Hegseth gets accused of war crimes every time we sink a drug runner. It's not a war crime although some people say it is. The workaround is that cocaine and fentanyl being smuggled in is a clear and present to danger the people of the United States and that holds water. It most certainly is NOT a war crime.

As far as Mark Kelly's subtle 'reminder' regarding illegal orders, (his comments long these lines were an attempt to spread disharmony among the troops) no illegal orders have been given. have been issued.
