I see where Governor Cuomo and company have levered the banks and insurance

companies not to do business with the NRA.

There is now a lawsuit against New York which the NRA may very well win. It would mean New York will be on the hook for an awful lot of financial damages which the citizens and taxpayers will be forced to cough up.

Governmental institutions are supposed to stay out of the political fray but have not been for quite some time and it is beginning to show. The FBI running pre election investigations on political candidates, the abuse of the IRS by using them by a standing president to audit opposition are just a few examples of the weaponization of government entities.

It's time that the elected officials be held accountable.

It's not their money that is going to have to be paid out if they lose a frivolous lawsuit. It's OURS. The NY pols will have a lot of 'splainin' to do to the people of NY if the NRA gets a huge settlement. Oh, the irony of it! Governor Cuomo having to cut a huge check to the NRA!

Of course Andrew Cuomo doesn't give a damn if New York loses a humongous lawsuit. Why should he? It's not his money. It's not costing him a dime.

If/when the NRA sues the State of New York the name Andrew Cuomo should be on the list of defendants so if the NRA wins Cuomo has to look forward to moving into a spot under a bridge somewhere after he leaves office.

If politicians could be held personally liable then things would change. They would be a lot less willing to risk taxpayer money.

It would be fun reading a 'from riches to rags' story.
