Things can come back to haunt you

About 25 years ago someone I know well signed a piece of official paper work in an interesting way.

He signed his name as SIR (his real name) XVIII.

On the title line he wrote 'Earl of Cricklewood Green'.

Twenty five years later we still kid him about it because the office went stark staring bonkers.

We still call him Earl.
