would, given the choice take $50K here and now over a penny doubled every day for 30 days.
People don't look down the road very much.
A penny doubled for 30 days is well over five million bucks.
A lot of good will come of this in terms of long term security, and on top of that, UAE just dropped out of OPEC which means most likely that they will compete against them and possibly undersell OPEC.
Although we buy very little middle east oil, it is sold on a worldwide basis and that will likely drop the worldwide price down resulting in cheaper gas. If we can get back to $2 gas the economy here will skyrocket.
This is good but the real reason for our visit to Iran is for long term security. It's somewhat of a given that a nuclear Iran would amount to the US getting nuked almost immediately after they get a warhead and a delivery system. Truth is we should have done this to the Norks years ago. Kim Jong Un isn't the sharpest tool in the shed and is most likely waiting for the time to plaster South Korea. Nobody had the balls to stop Kim Jong Un.
==================================
One of the big reasons the Iranians have not thrown in the towel is because of the American left. The left would probably cheerfully sacrifice 2 aircraft carriers and 20,000 of our troops if it would embarrass President Trump.
The Iranians are holding out praying that the left will stop Trump from continuing with the conflict.
While not likely to happen, they are holding out.
According to what I have been reading, as soon as Iran runs out of storage space the pumps will stop running and things will plug up and they will have to redrill. They'll be out of the oil business for quite a while.
When that happens they will be totally screwed and the gnarled peasants will throw take the remmenants of the Mullahs and Ayatollahs out to the nearest lamp pole and use them as decorations.
I keep asking leftists who's side are they on? I don't expect them to support the president but I DO expect them to support the troops and the American people.
