I would rather send money to some guy that's a pissed off electrician that has 4 kids because he's not trying to cash in on a military career.
As far as I'm concerned a self employed electrician with 4 kids knows the average American better than a career soldier, ESPECIALLY a general officer.
The self employed electrician has done it the hard way and spent a lot of nights trying to pull his next job out of his ass while the career soldier was simply told what his next job was.
Something to be said here.
You got that right! A lot of career military types are a waste of oxygen, just like most career politicians. The folks in the trades, however are worth their weight in gold, and unfortunately are looked down on by most people in the US.
