Thank a teacher? For what? The woman in THAT picture? 

HAH! You should live so long!

This picture is the most pathetic thing in the world. 

There's the little schoolteacher holding her empty hands back in an effort to shield her students from violence.

She's getting ready to die and then let her charges get their lives taken. She's going down and so are her students.  She's not doing a damned thing about it. The picture looks pretty pathetic to me. It's a picture of total incompetence and of a person that has had their life of denial catch up with her. She's just gotten a reality check for the first (and probably last) time in her life 

It's sad, really.

That's the kind of person we do not want to leave our children with.

Now let's try for a 'Scenes we'd like to see' minute.

We see a different scene altogether. 

We see that same teacher, let's call her Miss Smith, holding a smoking 1911 pointed at the inert assailant on his back and she's just shouted "Clean up in room, 123!"

The janitor shuffles in rolling a mop in a mop bucket and looks at the former assailant sprawled out on the floor.

"Good shooting, Miss Smith. Two in the ten-ring and one in the center of the forehead!"

Now THAT is the kind of person that ought to be teaching school.
