A friend of mine that spent time in Russia says that practically every arrest there results in a fight.

He explained to me that almost every arrest there results in a conviction and hard time in Russia means in a real prison instead of the air conditioned cells we have here.

The person being arrested has nothing left to lose and everything to gain so they fight like hell.

I wonder if people in political office know how people with nothing left to lose act? I'm fairly sure that if they thought about it a little bit that some of them would change their attitudes toward us little people.
