It's hard to admit that your political party left YOU.

It really is. 

The democratic party left ME decades and decades ago and it was hard to admit to myself that I had been turned into a stooge. I dropped out and reregistered as an Independent and have stayed that way since.

I had to look at myself and say, "DUH!!!" and take a long, hard look at myself. This was back in the 70s and for a while later on I was a non registered Libertarian until they decided to add plank after plank to their platform.

When the TEA party came around I looked into that and it took me four minutes and six seconds to see where that was headed. The same social issues drivel the Republicans were promoting got dragged into their platform and the became Republican Light. Ray Charles could have seen that one coming.

Nope.

I will stay an independent conservative and that is that. Needless to say I will probably continue holding one nostril shut voting for Republicans.
