Please go to the post I made on 22 December, 2012

. There is an update as the figures regarding firearm background checks for the month of December have come in.

There were 2.8 million background checks run for the month of December.

It should be duly noted that this did not include the sales made to people with concealed carry permits because in some states it s legal to sell to a concealed carry permit holder as they have already had a background check run on them to get the permit.

It also does not cover the legal in some states private transfers and illegal transfers.

That's a lot of firearms out there that have changed hands in one month.

If there is a confiscation in the offing it looks like the federal law enforcement people are going to be pretty busy because most of the state and local cops Ihave heard from on various boards have stated that they will not participate in confiscation activities. It's not their job.

It looks like an awful lot of people have voted on this issue already. They voted with their wallets.

Someone posted this on my Facebook page.

While Facebook is a source of a hideous amount of misinformation and disinformation this is entirely believable. Still, I have no way of seeing if it is true or not. If there is any truth to this then it is past time to clean house.

Most of us can live with the truth but they generally will not tolorate dishonesty.

Update: Snopes has debunked the poster but what holds true is that the fact that this would come out speaks that the media does not have a reputation for being honest.

  1. Hi Piccolo:

I just became a member of your site on the recommendation of Andrea Shea King after reading an old article about whorehouses and whiskey. Keep up the great work.
