Audie Murphy...A Texan beats himself to the draw.

In Murphy's postwar book, To Hell andBack, he wrote about kicking a door open, seeing a horrible looking creature in front of it and gunning it down only to find he had shot at his own reflection in a mirror.

Needless to say I'm sure he took a good natured drubbing from his buddies. 

Nobody ever held it against him because they knew that their turn to do something like that was probably around the corner. Wars are fought by scared young men.

So are wars on the street.
