The term 'First Responders' is often a misnomer.

In most situations the REAL first responders are just average people that jump in and take some kind of action.

Sometimes it is as simple as making a phone call. Other times it may be administering first aid until the medics or whoever arrive.

One of the Founding Fathers once asked ''Who is the militia?" another one replied, "It is the people, all of us."

WE are the real first responders if we accept our responsibilities.

I'll bet most cops, medics and firemen agree.
