Do not use dynamite cases as moving boxes even though they are ideal.

I have not seen a dynamite box in about three decades but they used to be very tough, heavily waxed cartons that were ideal for use as moving boxes in every aspect but one. They are labeled as being Dynamite cartons.

It is not a good idea to use these boxes as moving boxes because if people see them stacked up in your house while you are moving in they generally jump to conclusions and have been known to call the police.

The other thing that isn't really a good thing to use are surplus pine ammunition boxes unless you paint them over. When people see pine obviously military boxes stenciled (for example) 60 mm mortar rounds they also jump to conclusions.

Using these things to move your good with isn't really a very good idea. It wasn't a good idea 30 years ago when I moved and it's not a good idea now.
