I just saw where QE2 threw Prince Andrew to the wolves.

It speaks very highly of her.

We'd ALL be better off if everyone was judged by the same standard. It speaks very highly of the Queen Mother to hold her son to the same standards as everyone else. What character!

My guess is that Andrew really thought he would not have to come to task for his misdeeds (assuming he is found guilty in a court of law) and could get away with anything based on his position as a Royal.

    I agree with your assessment of Lizzy's character in this.

    I disagree that Andy did anything legally wrong. Morally, sure. But not legally, per the contemporary laws of the UK, where all of his alleged participation occurred.

    In a fair trial, he should walk. BUT, because of Me2, and the sensationaism surrounding this case, I assume the jurors will be emotionally swayed to convict.

    You may be right on the criminal part.

    Still, QE2 knows the crown is more important than the family and that speaks well of her.
