GOOD!
It's been overdue since the 60s when the feminist movement started.
The NEXT step is to set the standards high and make them apply to EVERYONE. No bull$hit. No pissing, moaning, wailing and gnashing of teeth about how it isn't fair.
If you have to be able to do 600 pushups to get into a certain program, you have to do 600 pushups no matter who you are, PERIOD.
You may then open every MOS to anyone who qualifies.
PERIOD. No ands, if, or buts...If you qualify you may apply. If you are the top applicant you either get the job or get to go to the school to get the job.
One other thing they CAN do is make damned good and sure that if someone makes a false accusation of sexual harassment they burn in hell for it.
ReplyDeleteAmen! They (women) want to be equal? No problem, just keep up with the men. Never, never, lower standards so certain folks can pass.
If you get drafted and can't pass the physical requirements, too bad, you still owe two years to your country.
Unless it is an organic physical problem they should draft overweight people and just run the tallow off of them. Some would get fat after they were discharged but a lot of them would get their pride back and stay in shape. For the latter it would be a big win/win
